Three Dimensions LEDs 9*9*9

 Introduction to Project

Nuggets of LEDs are used in making a three dimensional in making a 9x9x9 cube of the project at present uner consideration. The hefty arrangement of the project makes it beautifull in outlook and unique in construction. 729 LEDs in the construction kneeted together such as bricks play important role in construction of building.This projected selected by groups handpicked. It is opted by considering its utility, complexcity and beauty. The completion of this complex project was a danting task.



Construction

Project construction can be divided into two parts.

• Hardware Construction

• Software Construction

1 Hardware Construction

The 3D LED cube is made up of 729 LED’s. There are large numbers of anode and cathode. LED cube consist up of rows and columns. Every LED cathode legs solder together in a row.All anode of LED are solder together in a column. Every column connected to the arduino board through separate wire. Every column might be control separately .All nine rows are also connected to the arduino board. Each layer connected with transistor. The main purposes of connection of transistor enable the LED of cube to turn off and on during flowing the current through each layer.





2 Software Construction

Whopping amount of programmes involves during the software construction of this project and the functional aspects can be based on codes of this project.

3 Procedure

Take a shift register of 74HC575.This shift register has 16 pins.The pin number fifteen and pin number one to seven are outputs pins. The pin number eight and thirteen are connected together and grounded. Pin number nine is series data output pin. Pin Number ten is active low. Pin number eleven is series data input clock pin. Pin number twelve is output register clock. Pin Number fourteen is serial data input pin. Pin number sixteen is connected to the positive terminal of power supply.From pin number fifteen to pin number seven resistance of220ohm are connected with each pin. Pin number fourteen of one shift register is connected to the pin number nine of another shift register. Pin number twelve of one shift register is connected to pin number twelve of another shift register similarly pin number eleven of one shift register is connected to pin number eleven of another shift register.The same process is done with other eleven 74HC575 shift register which given serial input and parallel output. The pin number one of twelve shift register is connected to the twoBD139 NPN transistor whose emitter terminals are grounded and collector terminals are connected to the LEDs which arecathodes.Six 74HC595 shift register is connected to the arduino Union which pin number fourteen of shift register is connected to the pin number eleven of arduino UNO. Pin number eleven of shift register is connected to the pin number thirteen of the arduino.Pin number twelve of shift register connected to the pin number ten of arduino UNO.The pin numbers six and seven of arduino are connected to the resistance and LEDs and other terminal of LEDs are ground.Now LEDs start blinking .




4 Result

We construct 3D LED cube by using coding which control the linking of LEDs . We show rainy effect and different plane input coding and then apply on 3D LED cube which were working in the form of different animation of LEDs like plane of (001) .



5 Conclusion and discussion

To complete the project of 3D LED cube we learn a lot from the construction and coding to make this project. Each group member plays an important role in research phase and shared pledge with other members. In this way we learn versatile knowledge from all group members. In the constructing phase of this project each group member individual skills plays importantrole.In the software construction which is used for different animations to show plane in the cube. Different animations used to show different planes in the cube. The animation which shows different planes gives a unique outlook the audience. Audience Was surprised to see such a wonderful project. The learning experience of each group member in making this project was substantial. In our project we show plane which are important solid material . In future we can design 3D LED cube to show direction of different solid material.
